Vignette Outil HFX Creator dans AVID Studio

HFX Creator tool is the tool to edit, modify and create transitions in Hollywood FX. Our tutorial "Learn Hollywood FX (HFX)" detailed this tool and put emphasis on the conditions to get it.

But Avid Studio manual does not give any information regarding this tool. So we officially sent question to Avid. The answer is unequivocal, it's YES, HFX Creator tool is included in Avid Studio !

With the following clarification provided by AVID: if the HFX Creator tool is not actived by the installation of the Avid Studio software , registered users may ask for a free key in the "Avid's forum" for unlocking HFX Creator tool. In any case, the user will *NOT* have to pay for the unlock key.

It's Christmas....

Please take note that we added this FAQ to our already existing collection of FAQ for Hollywood FX, as well as FAQ for AVID Studio !

I've just requested a key from Avid, and here is their response:

"The HFX creator is actual called HFX filter and should not require a registration, there is however a small error with it, it shows as being a basic version even if it is unlocked.

If you can open up and edit etc, then the filter is proper unlocked."

Where does one look? I can't find it.

I was too hasty. I have found the HFX editor!

It is in the effects editor, under HFX Filter. Select it, then press the edit button on the right hand side of the window.

Training to reinstall pinnacle, formed on a clean disk.
Can I first AVID again up there with everything (including the HFX transitions)
Than later and then studio12 studio15.
Seen that there are a lot of dirt and is therefore
everything should be put on again.
Can this procedure correctly or it does not matter
who first comes on.

Hello Casper,

It strongly depends of what you have with you.
If you have AVID Studio full version as well as S12/S15 installation disk (full version), you can proceed in whatever order you wish. AVID and then S12 and then S15, or the opposite.

If you only have upgrade CDs, in such case you need to install S12/S15 first (excepted if you do not need S12/S15, in this case you can install AVID Studio first, it will ask for S12/S15 DVDs, you insert it without installing).

Then, you can install add-on. Please check our tutorial for clean install: How to install Avid Studio ? and Install Pinnacle Studio 15 and its components and Transfer into Avid Studio your old plugins still functional and Install Pinnacle Studio 14 and its components and Easy install of Studio 12

I just Purchased StudioHD Ultimate v15. When I try to edit the effects I was asked to activate the editor by purchasing an activation key ! The link takes me to the AVID site where I am to be charged £29.99 GBP ! There must be something odd about that.... ?
