Several times already we have had the opportunity to tell you about the release of the new version of proDAD Mercalli V2. This version comes in three options for all budgets, and for all users, integrated or not into your non-linear video editing software with few or many parameters available to the user.
A quick reminder for you to differentiate the 3 versions:
- The Mercalli Easy version is not integrated with Studio and is almost completely automatic: it is the economy version, ideal for beginners who have short clips to stabilize (see Mercalli EASY (proDAD));
- The non-integrated version of Mercalli SAL (Standalone) is a must if you prefer to make your own settings: you can control the stabilization from start to finish and it almost always ensures a good result. This is the version for advanced and demanding users (see Installation and Getting Started with proDAD Mercalli V2.x SAL);
- Mercalli plugin version is integrated into all non-linear video editing software: it is, in my opinion, the most practical and most automated in 90 to 95% of cases in my experience. In some critical cases, you can use the default settings to correct the hardest cases of stabilization. This is an excellent compromise that combines price, quality of results, and ease of implementation (see Mercalli V2: unlocked Studio plugin available).
So installing this latest version you can find in our tutorial:
