proDRENALIN is arrived !

If you  pre-ordered proDRENALIN , then you received the download link for proDRENALIN, and you have already used it ? So, what are the first reactions ? If you are interested in sending us an article summarizing your experience (positive or negative), please contact us!

Do you want to win a proDRENALIN version, for free ? That's rather simple, proDAD is looking for some good (meaning bad) action cam videos to help showcase what the new ProDrenalin video optimizer can do. If you've got video that is shaky (shot on a motorbike or off-road vehicle), warped (aerial video or anything with a horizon that bows up and down), or video that is "noisy" (twilight or dusk shots are great for this) they'd love to see it! If proDAD use your video on the website, they'll give you a free copy of ProDrenalin! It's best if the video is raw and un-processed. Interested? Email links to proDAD: videos@prodad.us

You do not have a Go Pro camera to use proDRENALIN? So why not enter the contest to win a Go Pro camera? It's here (in french) .

If you want to try proDRENALIN, nothing more simple, you can download a trial version . For the purchase, it is less than 42 $ with 20% discount, the link to order is here .

Is there a difference with DefishR? While DefishR solves the problems of distortion of many fisheye lenses, proDRENALIN is the one that is suitable for GO PRO camera. Moreover, it also takes care to stabilize and remove noise. In fact, an all in one solution! This is a "Mercalli + DefishR" solution adapted to GO PRO cameras (although the features are more limited than Mercalli & DefishR who are experts in the domain).

proDRENALIN is only available in SAL (ALone or Stand-alone version)!

Here is the official proDAD page proDRENALIN .

This version does * NOT * includes the plugin for Studio 14/15/16, Avid Studio, as well as all other plugins.

And last but not least, stay tuned, proDAD will announce new products rather soon.........

ProDrenalin’s Key Features:

  • Automatically remove fisheye distortion and corrects perspective distortion from video or still pics by simply selecting a camera profile;
  • Rock-steady stabilization – proDAD’s video stabilizer, the gold standard in post-capture video stabilization is part of ProDrenalin and it’s fully automatic;
  • Simple trim editing of the video clip by simply dragging “start” and “end” markers to the desired points in the video;
  • Rolling-shutter correction – Improves the skew & jello that sometimes happens during fast action panning;
  • De-noising – ProDrenalin effectively removes random image sensor noise and sharpens the video with 3 quality options;
  • Simple color correction, brightness & contrast adjustment tools to give videos more of a “film look” for the best impression;
  • Virtual camera adjustments allow you to manually adjust the camera angle to correct for an incorrectly mounted camera, can even rotate the video if camera was accidently mounted upside down;
  • Ahead-of-the-curve support for 4K and 2.7K video resolutions;
  • Batch processing allows an unlimited number of clips to be loaded into ProDrenalin for optimization (with individual settings for each clip) instead of processing them one by one;
  • Side-by-side comparison shows the original and optimized video prior to rendering and exporting in popular industry standard formats;
  • Fully compatible with all GoPro and other actions cameras in all supported resolutions, with the ability to import other action camera profiles made by proDAD’s Defishr™ application.
  • Stand-alone Windows® application, compatible with 32/64-bit versions of Windows 8, Windows 7, and Windows Vista

I am trying it out as we "speak".Down loading was a snap as was the install.I am using a hero 3.The GUI is really nice.The interface is similar to Deficher.The stabilize function is a one click affair but the interface is cool.You get graphic,6 different colors, renderings for the different parameters the stabilizer uses.There is also a one click rolling shutter option.Checking my CPU ,use it is at 100%.However it does seem to move a lot faster,somewhere between 10fps and 15fps, than Mercalli V2,4fps-9fps,which of course does not do Mp4.I just jumped into it.I am rendering a 26 min clip and will have to wait to see how I was suppose to do it.The opening screen is informative enough to get you started.Just checked my GPU and it is at 48% ,it's a GTS 450.So it does make good use of the GPU.Clip Adjust is a 4 slider affair .White balance is very interesting with the two extremes marked cold ,bluish,and wet ,yellowish.Adjust in real time easy to use wide range of effectiveness.Or just to keep it simple there are the video fx presets which I found quite useful.Also like Deficher there is a virtual camera adjustment for lens compensation.Now to try export.
I chose standard file not Quick time,high quality,no denoise filter.There are three compare modes,optimized,vertical split and horizontal split.Exporting appears to be around 6fps.CPU is at mid 80%.Once again long clips may be a good overnight situation.Next time I do a test I won't use a 26 min. file.Time for a break.55 min and I am at the 30% point.I will report on the final quality in another post.

Ok here it is this is a link to three short clips.

The best example of the rolling shutter is in the 1st clip as the helmet is put on.Even though some adjustments are just clicks with no adjustments the results were such that I didn't care.At this price point you can't beat the bang for the buck.IMHO-LOL
As to process time I have an AMD T-1045, a 6 core, it was running at 2.7GHZ with 16gb of ram.The final rendering speed worked out to about 6fps while using 85%+ CPU.Now I think I'll go back and read the help files.Very small tabs on the upper right hand side.Didn't notice them till I was almost done,okay it was 2 0'clock in the morning.Hope this helps someone.
