Studio 11.1.2.5231b update for Studio 11.x users
Studio 11.1.2.5231b is specifically for Pinnacle Video Transfer users who want to edit their H.264 captures in Studio. Without this patch there will be audio sync problems.

Who should install this update ?
If you are not a Pinnacle Video Transfer user and you already installed the Studio 11.1.1 patch, you don't need to install Studio 11.1.2 (no interest for you). If you do not have installed Studio 11.1.2, please do so (and read the corresponding article).
If you are a Pinnacle Video Transfer user and you did not install the Studio 11.1.1 patch, you can directly apply this Studio 11.1.2 patch (it contains Studio 11.1.1 enhancement).
How to install the patch ?
Close Studio, download it and double-click on the file to launch the installation. Follow the instructions...

Please take note that if you download the patch before 28th March 2008, you should download it again to obtain the latest version (a bug was preventing it from installing).

2 Comment(s) For those of you (like me) who were not aware that a new Edition of Pinnacle Studio was born, be informed that Pinnacle has launched a “Pinnacle StudioPlus v.11 Extreme Photo Edition”.
What's this ?
A special edition for digital camera owners as well as camcorder owners interested in photo slideshows. This version combines photo slideshow creation tools with the advanced video editing features of Pinnacle Studio Plus v.11.
A recent survey by Pinnacle Systems found that for 50% of consumers who are interested in video editing, but currently don’t use any software, digital cameras are their primary source for capturing video versus 33% who said camcorders are their primary source.
What are the differences with other versions ?
It contains the famous StageTools™ MovingPicture plugin (allows for perfectly repeatable pan and zoom moves with high resolution pictures). Very simple to use, Moving Picture enables users to preview motion in real time without any rendering and to enjoy smooth and tapered motion paths. Otherwise, you benefit from all Pinnacle Studio Plus V11 features, as usual.

To solve authorisation problems with SoundSoap
Some users of previous versions of SoundSoap PE have experienced authorization issues with Pinnacle Studio (delivered with Studio ULTIMATE). SoundSoap PE 2.1.1 resolves these issues, however, when installed as an update to an existing installation, SoundSoap PE must be reauthorized. Reauthorization requires re-entry of your original SoundSoap PE serial number (*) and Internet access.
(*) located on the installer CD sleeve of your Pinnacle Studio Ultimate product- If you do not know your serial number, you may recover it through with link
IMPORTANT:
- If you currently have SoundSoap PE installed and are not experiencing problems, it is NOT necessary to install SoundSoap PE 2.1.1
- To be used with Studio ULTIMATE only
- Please install the Studio Ultimate CD prior installing SoundSoap PE 2.1.1
- If you do not have an internet connection on the computer you are running Pinnacle Studio and BIAS Sound Soap, check this FAQ for alternate authorisation.

2 Comment(s) Studio 11.1.1.5224h Release Update for Studio version 11.0 & 11.1 users
The Studio 11.1.1.5224h update contains many enhancements to improve editing performance with AVCHD material as well as offering NEW support for AVCHD Disc output. An AVCHD Disc is the AVCHD video format burned on standard DVD media which can be played in Blu-ray disc players.
Several other improvements and fixes are included (click on the title for additionnal informations).
I suggest upgrading only if you are concerned by the improvements and fixes included in the new version. Otherwise, if everything is working as expected, do not make any modification.

If you are already editing a project with a previous version of Studio 10, make a rendering of your movie before upgrading. If you have an earlier version of Studio 10 (10.0 or 10.1) please download and install first the Studio 10.7 FULL patch and then download and install the 10.8.0.4641 patch. For all other versions (higher than Studio 10.1), you can directly apply this patch Studio 10.8.0.4641.

Pinnacle recommends installing the 10.8 Update for all previous Studio 10.6 (Standard and Plus). The 10.8 patch is targeting Windows Vista but also includes support for Windows XP

Studio is able to handle HDV, and it can do scene capture and detection based on timecode, but you are not able to see timecode information in Studio after the capture.
