Great tip, worked first time for me. Thanks guys! Hint: I found it easier to find the "Settings.vst" file by doing a "search" within windows explorer under C:\documents and Settings after setting 'show hidden files & not hide extentions' I got about 6 results with only one of them over 1000k. Renamed it, problem fixed! THANKS Using XP

Glad you figured it out. I had complained about this to Pinnacle and no one seemed to have a clue what the problem was. Thanks!

Is this the same as in" make movie" when the drop down files has two entries for each file type,i.e.mpeg-2, listed twice vertically.I'll click on one and get dvd compatible as the only write option, click on the second mpeg-2 and it gives me all of the write options.P.S. looking forward to using the transitions.

Well done, your answers are 3 for 3. I found the file and renamed it to settings.vst.old and it didn't work, but did create a settings.vst file. I deleted the settings.vst.old and it worked immediately. Now, I just need to add good positive responses on your other tips. Your efforts are appreciated, keep up the good work

Hi Ratnam,
Your issue is not related to this double-codec solving tip but rather with the fact that your project might be fairly complex, using the 2 video tracks in the timeline, and varpus types of videos sources? etc. so pratically Studio get lost at render time and displayed images are not matching with timeline content, at least for some. This can typically happen when using different video sources formats i.e mpeg + Avi +. .ts.. Ideally (but not always) all sources should be converted first to a unique common format to be used in the timeline. In this site you will find a tip posted by czmax advising how to convert i.e in 1440 res. Sorry this might be late for you at this stage but no luck.. have a try at leat with some test project to see how it goes with czmax approach. Hope will help.
