This tutorial is about the built-in presets of VitaScene. We will first show how to use it without changing any settings. VitaScene is particularly suited to doing light effects. With Studio titles in particular, these effects can be simply amazing.

STEP 1. VitaScene applied as a TRANSITION to a title from Studio Title Deko

  1. Place your two titles on the timeline.
  2. Select the Studio transition icon and select the proDAD transitions.
  3. Place a VitaScene transition before the first title.
  4. Place a VitaScene transition between the 2 titles.
  5. Place a VitaScene transition at the end of the second title.
VitaScene transition access in Studio
  1. On each transition, double click to bring up the edit screen. Press the "Edit" button to open VitaScene and choose an effect. We will apply an effect to each of the 3 transitions.
Edit VitaScene
  1. Parameters for VitaScene Transition No. 1 (top view):
After selecting the Edit option in Studio, this screen appears. The "Presets" are displayed for "Transition Group No 1".

Double click on "only-IN". We will choose a preset from there, precisely because they are designed for single video transitions (top view).

Note: The "Transition Group no 1" is located in a "Root" folder. The software will not allow you to go higher than the "Root" folder. If you're not in the correct folder, reposition yourself on the "Root" using the navigation folders.
Choosing a model in ENTRY ONLY
  1. I chose the "Blur" effect by double clicking on it. You are free to choose another directory at this level, to access other presets.
Select folfer Blur ENTRY ONLY
  1. I chose the "Zoom Blur in #72" effect by double- clicking it, or you can press the green arrow (9). Your title appears on the screen to the right and the preset is applied to the video. Now you can enjoy the result.
  1. If you are happy with the results, return to Studio by pressing the plug icon (10), otherwise return to step 9 by selecting another type of transition.
Choose a model and return to Studio
  1. Parameters for VitaScene Transition No. 2 (between the two titles):
After pressing the Edit button in Studio, the screen to the right appears. The "Presets" for "Transition Group #1" are shown.
The preset I chose in Vitascene is "Annulus 503" which is in the Text/Logo Effects folder.
    Repeat steps 9 and 10.
Choose a model and return to Studio
  1. Parameters for VitaScene Transition No. 3 (end of the second title):
After pressing the Edit button in Studio, the screen to the right appears. The "Presets" are displayed for "Transition Group #1".
The preset I chose in VitaScene was "Intense Zoom Blur Out #202" which is located in the only-OUT-\blur\ folder. Repeat steps 9 and 10

Choose a model and return to Studio

STEP 2. VitaScene applied as an effect on a Studio Title Deko Title
  1. Place the title on the video track.
  2. Select your title and press the small camera icon (2).
  3. Press the plugin icon (3): the list of available plug-ins appears.
  4. Select the proDAD VitaScene plug-in, click OK to apply it to your video.
Presentation of a VitaScene plugin
  1. The screen to the right appears. Press the Edit VitaScene Filter button (5) to access the VitaScene filters.
Edit VitaScene Plugin
  1. VitaScene Settings:
After selecting the Edit option in Studio, this screen will appear. The "Filter Presets" are displayed for "Filter Group #1".

    Double-click on "Text/Logo / +Rays" (6)
VitaScene, choice of the filter Text / Logo / Radiance
  1. I chose the "463" template by double-clicking it or using the green arrow (7). Your title appears on the screen to the right and the preset is applied to your video. You can now enjoy the result.
  2. If you are satisfied with your choices, return to Studio by pressing the plug icon, otherwise return to step 7 by selecting a different type of preset.
VitaScene, choice a filter

And here are some of the results you can achieve:

Lights, camera, action, you’re the master of the light

Thank you; you have finally unlocked vita scene.I never got how to use it for it titles. Now how can I apply it to over laid titles so that it only effects the graphics?Or is this a future tutorial?

Hello Graham,

If you follow this excellent tutorial, you will be able to apply it on titles (affecting only the graphics-title and not the movie). Just place your title as you are used to (on the title track), and apply VitaScene as filter. Is it clear enough ?
