Over the years our computers are taking longer to boot, with increasing numbers of programs that slow down the loading time of Windows. Moreover, as Rémy Fehlmann reminded us in one of his tutorials, a computer requires regular preventive maintenance. This is an opportunity to see what we can do to regain control of the situation.

Free Declic Video transitions Declic have largely been part of the success of the site. Continuously improved, supplemented, renewed and technically adapted to the different versions of Studio, they have greatly helped to publicize the site...

If you encounter an "Export Failure" when rendering your movie, you probably won't understand the content of the message shown by Studio. In the absence of this help from Studio, follow this tutorial created by an experienced user. You will find:
- an explanation of the message and the location of the error;

For me, Studio 14 and Studio 15 have taken a step back in terms of DVD player compatibility. Discs produced by S12 play back fine on an old player I own, but if I make an identical project in S14/S15, the player doesn’t seem to recognise the menu structure correctly and refuses to play some or even all of the chapters. I propose in this tutorial to explain how avoid this bug by using ImgBurn.

Files with the extension .3GP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) are compressed video for third-generation mobile phone (3G). Today, with new versions of Studio you can import and export video files .3 GP. But this has not always been the case and DGrenier had proposed a tutorial, taken in part below, to accomplish this with the studio versions below Studio 12 who could not import these file types. As we still have many readers that use versions prior to Studio 12, we offer an retrospective overview of treatment of these files.

The auxiliary files, sometimes called temporary, sometimes secondary files are created by Studio, in different circumstances, when editing or exporting a project. These files are saved in a specific folder. The auxiliary files can grow quite large and cause various disturbances in exporting your projects. These auxiliary files can be deleted at any time during your editing for Studio will recreate them automatically when you work on the project.

In various forums that we frequent, users often report incidents that they attribute to Studio ! In fact, after expertise, those problems have to be attributed to causes entirely unrelated to the editing software. If we exclude the issues of graphics cards and their drivers, poor management or lack of PC maintenance are present in the top 10 incidents that concern us.
Therefore Rémy Fehlmann has developed a list of recommendations to follow to get the best possible performance on your machine.

With Studio 12, a significant improvement has been often overlooked. Specifically, I am referring to the opportunity that the user has to set up their own work space.
There is no question there are many features in Studio 12. This is one that is free (not locked). So, let's explore the possibilities!

On 3 March 2007 Perez announced in the french forum MagazineVideo his latest discovery. He had found a way to insert a video, under certain conditions, on the Title track of his Studio Plus version. This tip was not included in a tutorial, somehow it was forgotten. That's the reason why we are launching this tutorial now, to make you aware of this excellent trick.

What to do when everything goes wrong and we no longer know what to do ... In a scenario like this, in many cases, we may have to rely on the knowledge and good will of the mebers of a video forum. We must do some tests to determine the causes of the problems! It may necessary to detail the steps one by one, and isolate the step which causes concern, and finally find the offending step (usually a certain scene is a problem for Studio).
The process is explained in this tip and trick. It shows you how to provide the information needed on the forums to help you indicate which step created the trouble or gave you a problem.

Tutorial to learn how to use the software for batch conversion. It is possible to convert, rename, resize or crop a batch of images. Quality of all these operations are very good with IrfanView. In addition, this software is free ! This freeware is often used with Pinnacle Studio to resize images and have them conform to the 4:3 format - "768x576" BMP extension.
