In "Tip-6 Alter the text and position of text in the transition 191-france", you learned how to change the name of a city and its geographical position. So, if you lived in France, you could adapt the transition to your needs. But not everyone lives in France! So, in this tutorial, we will expand the effect to include all countries as we learn to change the map at the bottom of the transition. Step 1 : Create a map of the region or countryTo start, you must create or modify a map of the region of interest with a graphic editing program (such as Adobe Photoshop). Create an image that is 768 x 576 pixels (for standard definition PAL, for other formats see our FAQ Still picture ratio ) Leave a transparent areas around your picture. For more information, refer to your favourite photo editing application. Save your work in the .png file format. For this tutorial, I created a map of Florida that I called Florida.png. I placed it in the folder reserved for images for Declic Video. You can save it anywhere, but you always need to remember where you saved it! Step 2 : Modification of HFX 191-france effect
| Save the image in a folder that you created and where you will remember to find it. |

Open the Easy FX Editor, open the 191-france effect and hide the album (Button Hide/Unhide album).

In the properties for the media file "P_FranceP", substitute your image file for "P_FranceP.png" which is currently there. This is why I keep telling you that you need to remember where you saved the file! |

| As soon as you confirm the substitution, your map appears in the preview window, with the "A" image visible through the transparent area. |

In the effects tree, select the Text3D "PARIS".
In the Properties window, you change "PARIS" to "Tallahassee".For details on how to make this modification, please see Tip-6 Alter the text and position of text in the transition 191-france

In the effects tree, always start with the "PARIS" object selected, (the name will automatically change later).
In the panel properties, in the paragraph Position, click on one of the values X, Y or Z. (This action will allow the "PARIS" object envelope to show)
Place your cursor at the second keyframe, which lets you see "Tallahassee" and "Bordeaux". |

| We'll have to place the city of "Tallahassee" correctly by dragging from location 1 to location 2 using the mouse. For more details about this modification, please refer to Tip-6 Alter the text and position of text in the transition 191-france

When the city of "Tallahassee" is correctly placed, copy the current keyframe and paste it to the last keyframe on the envelope. In this way the position for the city of "Tallahassee" will be constant until the end.
For more details about this modification, please refer to Tip-6 Alter the text and position of text in the transition 191-france

| Repeat the same modifications that you made with the city of "Tallahassee" for the city of "Jacksonville" To change the name of the city:
- Positioning
- Copy of keyframe

When the changes are completed, save your effect and the names of "PARIS" and "BORDEAUX" will be automatically changed to Tallahassee and Jacksonville.
Of course, you can change the color of the canvas, change the font, size and color of the characters used for the names of the cities. Step 3 : The Final Result
With this tutorial, you are now able to use the 191-france effect throughout the world, from the smallest province's largest state on the planet and to even the moon if you wish ... |
