Our team is pleased to announce a new feature in this website: video will presented in a more convivial way.

From now on, with all new video presented to you as a preview, you will click a small picture to activate the preview in an overlay. This overlay is slightly transparent (vista like - aero style). Why this modification ?

1. there are more previews shown on a single page
2. it is easier to navigate in the preview (you can jump from one page to another one much easier - directly)
3. you can also switch from one preview to the next one using the button at the bottom of the preview; you can also use the right arrow key and left arrow key to navigate the preview.
4. for us, greater flexibility in managing the content

Currently, only HFX preview and VitaScene page have profitted from this new system (the VitaScene page contains an example of use inside Studio which is interesting - move the mouse over the image and it will launch the video). Thanks to all of you for your support ! When I started this website, I never imagine that we will reach so many visitors. And I am completely astonished by the percentage of those people who already subscribed to the newsletter in less than 3 months ! You are now 500 subscribers in 2 months and a half.

Nevertheless, I have to make a big decision very soon... I do not have enough time to technically maintain the website, staying up-to-date with recent news around digital video, creating new tutorials, adding new pages, contents, etc... I badly need help. The most critical point today concerns the time to translate the content from french to english or english to french... Of course, I have Loosecannon who helps me a lot, but articles need to be translated in english before he can adjust the final tutorial/article.
I am searching someone willing to help, for translation (english to french or opposite). Guignol Film present his latest tutorial: "Overlay". Overlay exist in two types:

• PIP : Picture In Picture. With this effect, you can overlay an image on another one, and adapt the dimensions and position.
• Chroma key : with this effect, you can replace the prevailing color with a portion of an image.

This excellent tutorial will explain you how to use the effects, or to combine both kind. It has been developped with Studio 11 Plus, but it can also be used easily with Studio 9 or 10 Plus. A Studio Plus version (9, 10 or 11) is absolutely necessary to use these effects, because they are using the superposition video timeline.

In a near future, one article will be dedicated to Guignol Film tutorials; this website is, to my opinion, one of the most important for people willing to improve their skill with Pinnacle Studio. Unfortunately, it is only available in french...
