Coming straight from the fertile imagination of "Le Papy" to help decorate your videos and to have a Merry Christmas, 4 Special Christmas HFX and 2 other bonus effects. posted @ Monday, December 24, 2007 12:30 PM by Kiwi posted @ Sunday, December 16, 2007 10:51 PM by Déclic Vidéo After contacting proDAD team to obtain further explanations regarding Studio plugin or "stand-alone" version (*), please find hereafter the answer received, which should give you some explanations to recent questions... proDAD answer:
Before a Standalone version could be released, I´m sure a Studio plugin will be available sooner. Please don´t be too hard with Pinnacle - they have good reasons not to release it yet but in near future. And I´m sure that finally, if the full speed and all options will be available in Mercalli for Studio, everybody will be happy. What sense would it make to bring it sooner and having a speed barrier or less options forever?
Mercalli is a great product - Many people want it - but everybody should better wait in order to get the finally best possible plugin. Although it might be hard to wait - what we do understand of course ...
(*) A stand-alone version does not necessitate any non linear video editing software to work. You use it as an independant version, autonomous, which is not part of any video software. This way, you use it without any video software, you render your movie and then use it into your movie software. posted @ Sunday, December 16, 2007 10:47 PM by Déclic Vidéo

posted @ Monday, December 10, 2007 2:30 PM by Déclic Vidéo Background Rendering ... What is it? Studio can calculate effects (plugins / transitions) behind the scenes as you work. This feature is called background rendering.
Background rendering is a feature in which the calculations needed to create an overview done as a "background task", theoretically without interrupting the work. Fortunately, this feature is optional. "Le Papy" is explaining through a new Pinnacle Studio FAQ, all the subtility of this background rendering. You will learn what is the advantage of using it or not, how to enable/disable it, in summary, you will learn everything you should know concerning this feature... » Pinnacle Studio FAQ - Background Rendering « I would like to take this opportunity to send a SPECIAL THANK to fjones52, fehlmann, mark655 and Loosecannon. Without their collaboration, english articles would have stopped. If you like their work, to see new articles/faq/tutorials translated every week, do not hesitate to leave a comment in this article, I am sure they will appreciate it. It will take only 1 minute of your time...

Do you ever think about creating custom HFX effects? We can only encourage you ... However, a minimum of organization is needed to manage creation of your HFX album. The measures we suggest are: - Not to overwrite existing transitions,
- To create, edit, delete files and directories,
- To delete obsolete personal transitions,
- To modify your original files,
- To easily find transitions in the album that you have created.

Two new important notices have been inserted : - To backup a Studio project, save the project file (0 bytes) as well as the hidden folder which has the same name as the project (with all its content !!)
- Beware of some software which erase files with an empty size (0 bytes). This is to be avoided with Studio, since the project file size 0 bytes…
