This tutorial follows the first cloning method described by saby. Here, we will not use an Alpha Magic transition, but a free plug in the JPS Effects pack, which can be used with two video tracks (Studio PLUS version only).

This is not a real tutorial, but rather a compendium of tips that revolve around television that I present to you today. Most of these tips, a collaborative effort of various participants of the time (DGrenier, ggfx, Kiki), were already present on the former site of Declic-Video.

Specific plugins are applied to a clip. Now, you would like the same plugins with the same settings on multiple clips (contiguous or not). How to proceed ?This tip & trick will give you the solution.

To give the impression of falling rain, I suggest two methods each of which have their advantages and disadvantages. The first will be based on the use of an HFX effect made just for this occasion. The second will be based on the use of an AVI file with the use of transparency.

To achieve this effect, I decided to use the Hollywood FX software included with Pinnacle Studio. I decided to use two effects (#244): Snow 5s, and Snow 10s, which will be used as plugins or filters. This tutorial will teach you how to use these two effects.

After that is done you may want to go further by cutting some scenes, edit some lighting and even make a video montage.  And why not add a menu. The Studio software is perfectly suited for this type of operation, as these DVD's are not protected.

Transparency allows you to create special effects (PIP like).
It can be achieved by using the color tool (Chroma Key), which is documented in Studio.  It can also be achieved by using an image stored in a format that retains some parts of the image as transparent. It is this process that I refer to in the following example.
