proDAD products compatibility with Windows 8 and Pinnacle Studio 17

proDAD and Windows 8 and Pinnacle Studio 17

If you use software or add-ons proDAD, here those Windows 8 and/or Pinnacle Studio 17 compatibility after updating to the latest version :

Mercalli V2 Pro
Mercalli V3 SAL
Prodrenalin V1
DeFishr V1
Mercalli Easy
Heroglyph V4
Vitascene V2
Adorage 10-13

You must perform the upgrade and installation scheduled for each proDAD plugin, ie:

Without uninstall;
The update is downloaded by clicking on the link from the purchase confirmation email (sent by Element5 after your order);
Then install the package - that's all;
During installation, you specify which version of Studio you want to install the plugin. Studio 17 does not yet appear on the windows installation but uses Studio 16 files (Called AVID 2 sometimes in some installations), so no worries ....

Thanks. I use Vitascene 1.1 on Avid Studio 1.1. 'cause PS17 is practice Avid Studio 3, I guess the activation is the same, edit on purple screen for visual effects and on the ear of the transition for transitions. Right? I remember many of us had hard times in discovering how to activate Vitascene in Avid Studio.

Hello Crimsonhelldragon,

The activation of proDAD products within Pinnacle Studio 17 are similar to those in Pinnacle Studio 16 and AVID Studio. No problem at all, just follow our guidelines tutorial that we published.
All proDAD products which are also available on our website are fully compatible with all NLE mentionned, and you can use with Pinnacle Studio but also with other Non Linear Video Editing software that you may have.

I have just got a new PC (Dell XPs 8700) with Windows 8.1. I have Pinnacle Studio 17, and Adobe Elements Premier 11. My Adorage volumes 1 and 3 have imported to Adobe Elements, but are not showing in S17. When I installed the Prodad volumes, at the point where it shows which programs will be associated with Adorage, Adobe Elements showed with boxes ticked, but S17 was not there as an option. Can anyone tell me why S17 is not importing Adorage?

Sorry for not answering beforehand. I have S17 and proDAD Adorage products. They are working fine. You need to re-install the latest proDAD service pack, which will install proDAD Adorage into S17 (sometimes it is still called S16 in the installer, select S16 and it will do the trick).

Thanks for that, I now have Adorage Vol. 1 and 3 in S17. Another small problem is that I downloaded the demo version of Adorage 12 to try out, I now wish to remove it but it doesn't show up separately in uninstall programs in the control panel, and I can't uninstall it from within S17. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello John,

Rather strange that you do not find the uninstall program in the control panel. Try to locate in START MENU > ALL PROGRAMS > proDAD > Deinstall Adorage Vol 12

Addendum: I don't think that any demo version for proDAD Adorage V12 exist. You probably installed the demo version of proDAD Adorage (Volume 12 is an effect package and usually the demo version refers to the main Adorage program).

Therefore, if Adorage is still fully working in your system, do not change anything. :-)

Dear Dana, only products bought with proDAD are eligible for a free upgrade... Adds on offered in a bundle are "as is" and you will never be entitled to have the upgrade. I am sorry...

For your information, our website is proposing 25% discount on Adorage (here), and the product will be proposed as a plugin to many video editing software (not only Pinnacle Studio: you buy once, and you get all plugins).
