In May 2016, SmartSound published the version 6.0.3 of Sonicfire Pro, their famous Smartsound's musics editing software. Since early September 2016 Pinnacle Studio owners can take advantage of its new features since a plugin update for Studio was released by SmartSound.

Until the presentation of the novelties of Sonicfire Pro 6.0.3, which will soon be part of a dedicated article, I thought useful to take stock of the different scenarios that may arise for a Pinnacle Studio's user.

• a Pinnacle user that previously had the Studio plugin and the free version of Sonicfire Pro 5 (called Express Track) can update to the free version of Sonicfire Pro 6 and must ask to Smartsound a free plugin code
• a Pinnacle user that previously had the Studio plugin and the free version of Sonicfire Pro 5 (called Express Track) can update to the full version of Sonicfire Pro 6 for $199 and must ask to Smartsound a free plugin code
• a Pinnacle user that previously had the Studio plugin and the full version of Sonicfire Pro 5 can update to the full version of Sonicfire Pro 6 for $69.95 and must ask to Smartsound a free plugin code

• a Pinnacle user who wants to buy the plugin and use the free version of Sonicfire Pro 6 should pay $29.95 for the plugin
• a Pinnacle user who wants to buy the plugin and the full version of Sonicfire Pro 6 should pay $29.95 for the plugin and $199 for Sonicfire Pro 6
• a Pinnacle user who wants to buy the plugin and update his full version of Soncifire Pro 5 to Pro 6 should pay $29.95 for the plugin and $69.95 for the update

NB1 : the Studio plugin is built into Sonicfire Pro 6 installation files. To use it one must activate it and pay $29.95 from the application
NB2 : Express Track no longer exists with Sonicfire Pro 6. The free version looks very simlar to the full version but only searching and some basic editing features are available
